The clock started 28 July 2026 — the day the first app was first deployed, not the day it went live. It stops 28 July 2027. Whatever's shipped by then, counts.

The mission

One person. Spare hours. Zero lines of code. Twelve months. How far does it go?

Day job in aviation, a family at home, a runner who’d rather be outside. Never wrote software. In July 2026 I opened Claude Code, described what I wanted, and argued with it until something worked. This page counts the results — apps that shipped, support that came in, and the ones that didn’t make it — without rounding anything in my favour. Everything that ships is free to use; the deal is below.

Who
One non-developer, after the family’s asleep or before the run.
How
Vibe coding with Claude Code. Plain English in, working app out (eventually).
Window
28 Jul 2026 → 28 Jul 2027. No extensions.
The two questions
How many apps actually ship? Does anyone find one useful enough to back it?

The deal

Everything here is free. Use it, or back it.

Every app on this page is free to use, for as long as it stays alive. The ones priced on results — where you would only ever pay when they deliver — are free by default too, until they actually deliver something.

Because this is an experiment: what can one person build from scratch, with AI, in twelve months? Without being naive about it — the same AI that tells me what to build tells everyone else the same. There is no moat here, only what ships. If something gets traction, we’ll see what that turns into.

Option one

Use it. Free.

No trial, no card, no catch. Every app stays free for as long as it remains alive.

Option two

Two coffees. £9 a month.

Keeps the lights on across all of them, and tells me which way to lean. I’d be very grateful if this is your choice.

Flight log

What happened, when

13 Sept
Plain Card app is shelved due to limitation on hosting fees.
12 Sept
We have started building four apps: Footer Kit, Latest Note, Plain Card, and Trade Slip
11 Sept
We have parked Trademark/Lookout due to cumbersome process in getting access to API and real value proposition of the app.
11 Sept
We start deploying Trademark / Lookout app to help you with clarifying a possible trademark by watching USPTO and EUIPO trademark filings for you and alerts you when something confusingly similar to your mark gets filed — free, no manual re-checking required.
10 Sept
Uptime IOU app shelved for poor business case.
08 Sept
Almost all apps are now transitioned to full for free access or keep it running (option to give me some support). It is only missing Finitegrid on the making.
06 Sept
Big shift to make all Apps free as we are not suns of the LLMs we use everything they tell us they will tell others to do the same. All apps created will be for free and you will have the option to pay me a £9/mo if you want to pay me two coffees every month until the domains are made redundant (they will only be renewed if people believe the apps add value especially businesses).
04 Sept
Solar website is solarassetsmanagement.com and it's taking longer to ship.
28 Jul
Clock starts. FiniteGrid deployed for the first time — the twelve months count from today.

Every number is real. Support comes through Stripe, not from me (last synced 13 Sept 2026, 19:01).
